Serving the small to medium business market, Eligeo is a privately owned company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Combining an affordable, one-stop shop approach for all our clients' information technology needs with a proactive focus on exceeding those needs is how we have grown our business and is how we will continue to the top of this highly competitive market space.

Several months ago our website was destroyed. Apparently we were “hacked”. This left us with a huge communication gap. Our website was the primary means volunteers and supporters learned of our organization and contacted us to get involved.

Little over a month ago we received a call from Derek at Eligeo. He had heard our site was down and offered to design and rebuild our site…for free. We were a little shocked at the offer and eager to hear more. Working with Derek and Eligeo since that day has been exciting and has breathed new life into our online presence. Derek and his staff pulled together ideas from the information we provided them and, at our first meeting, it was clear that we were not being treated as a simple side project. The design was creative and ambitious.

As the project progressed the values behind Eligeo became apparent, Derek has created a corporate culture of caring and philanthropy. Each person we worked with had ideas of how our organizations could work together in the future, from fundraisers to further design support. This was not a one-off good deed. Eligeo is a socially responsible company, committed to philanthropy. We have since learned that Eligeo has a policy of donating 2% of profits towards charity. This is a progressive policy of philanthropy that will have a major impact on the community.

The support we received from Eligeo saved us thousands of dollars, and we will continue to save as they have committed to hosting our website and email as well. But Eligeo offered us more than financial savings. We have received similar donations of work in the past and often leave with the feeling that we got what we paid for. Eligeo made us a priority. The site was designed and built promptly, we met frequently and our input was valued and utilized. The design is far beyond what we had envisioned; Eligeo had the skills to turn our vague ideas into vivid visual displays and functional tools.

Derek is a true leader. I am confident that the culture of meaningful giving that he has created at Eligeo will inspire others to follow and that his exemplary work will earn him a reputation as one of Calgary’s leading entrepreneurs.
